Watermelon isn’t just tasty and goes well on a hot summer day. It turns out watermelons have many health benefits that are essential to everyday living. A few nutritional facts include lycopene, vitamin A, and vitamin C. That makes watermelon the top choice of juice. If you’re not a fan of water, switch to watermelon to ensure you get your daily essential water intake.

Daily, having one big cup of watermelon juice will support your overall eye health. Vitamins A and C are known for preventative age-related vision disorders. Another benefit of vitamin C is the natural collagen it helps produce. If you want smooth, silky, vibrant skin, and a regulated blood flow, double up on your watermelon intake. If you are having trouble with dry, irritated skin, then that’s when vitamin A saves the day. Imagine if you were told the benefits of watermelon at a younger age. Would you still eat it, knowing it aids in the well-being of your eyes and skin? I personally would probably have eaten watermelon more as a teen. I’m not a fan of watermelon slices unless it has tajin on it (laugh out loud). Other than that, my preference for watermelon is in a juice form. Either way, a juicy slice or a jug of juice has the same benefits.

Research shows that incorporating foods with lycopene may reduce your chances of heart disease and stroke. Extracting a solid watermelon into liquid can eliminate blood pressure concerns over a substantial period. I find watermelon a great alternative to Western medicine and the overuse of prescription medication. Go figure drinking watermelon juice helps improve the blood flow in your arteries. It’s clearly time to get obsessed with watermelon, especially as we age! Being a person with albinism and having sensitivity to the sun, lycopene acts as a protective layer on the skin to prevent extreme sunburning. However, you should always apply sunscreen when in contact with the sun.

I bet you will view watermelons in a newfound light the next time you go grocery shopping. They make your skin glow and dreamy while maintaining good blood flow, keeping your blood pressure down. If I were you, I would start gifting all your beloved friends and family members watermelons because it’s a random Tuesday. Watermelons are clearly some fruits you want to keep in rotation for sweetness and H2O and the benefits to your overall health.
